Nic Denman is a musician and audio engineer based in Western North Carolina. He has engineered numerous albums and EPs across a wide range of genres, including metal, rock, pop, jazz, fusion, and indie. His role in these projects includes helping artists bring their creative vision to life, professionally capturing each band’s unique sound, and mixing and mastering the final product to a release-ready standard.

Nic holds a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Commercial Music and Audio Production from Western Carolina University. His studies covered a wide range of audio engineering topics, including live sound, MIDI synthesis, audio fundamentals, modern and traditional recording techniques, mixing, and mastering. He also studied music theory, ear training, and piano, while developing strong proficiency on his main instrument: guitar

Nic performed in numerous ensembles such as the WCU Jazz Ensemble, jazz combos, the WCU Fusion Rock Ensemble, and participated in many professional musical productions. He also toured across the Southeast with his music project, Onyx, which has seen substantial growth in the last two years. The blend of his technical knowledge and proficiency in multiple instruments sets him apart from others in his field and allows him to approach music with a well-rounded perspective.
